Most anticipated YA novels of 2020

The Cousins by Karen M. McManus

We were all so excited when Karen M. McManus came out with the second book to “One of Us is Lying,” “One of Us is Next.” Now she has announced she will publish a new book, “Cousins.” Coming out December 2020, Mila, Aubrey, and Jonah Story are cousins, but they barely know each other, and they’ve never met their grandmother. Rich and reclusive, she disinherited their parents before they were born. So when they receive a letter. You’ll never feel the same about family again.



The Ballad of Songbirds and snakes by Suzanne Colin



Not much is known about this new book, except millions of fans around the world are super excited for it. We all are. Suzanne Colin will revisit the Hunger Games, but years before our favorite characters even exist, to the tenth reaping. It is scheduled to release on May of 2020.



Star Daughter by Shveta Thakrar



Shveta Thakrar has been writing amazing short stories for a while and now she finally gets her own book. The Daughter of a star and a mortal, Sheetal is used to keep secrets. But when a flare of starfire injuries her human father, Sheetal needs a full stars help to heal him. A star like her mother, who returned to the sky long ago. Sheetal’s quest will take her to a celestial court of shining wonders and dark shadows, where she must act as her family’s champion in a competition to decide the next ruling house of the heaven-or risk never returning to Earth at all. It is scheduled to make its debut on August 11, 2020.




Loveless by Alice Oseman


The fourth novel from Alice Oseman. Georgia feels loveless-in the romantic sense, anyway. She’s eighteen, never been in a relationship, or even had a crush on a single person in her whole life. She thinks its anomaly, people call her weird, and she feels a little broken. But she still adores romance-weddings, fan fiction, and happily ever afters. As she struggles to find herself she learns that there are different types of love and that no one is really loveless.




Really Truly by Heather Vogel Frederick


Though this isn’t exactly a young adult novel, we all love the Pumpkin Falls Private Eyes.

In this third novel in the series, the young detectives battle pirates and try to find sunken ship. As they get closer to the heart of the mystery, Truly has to learn how to come out of her the Pumpkin Falls Private Eyes get closer to the heato her mermaid debut, she may just learn to come out of her shell.
